Big Eyes

These are the heavy-weight behemoths. They are found on large mounts and massive naval vessels. These gigantic instruments have been used for long-range observation since the late 19th century. Produced by manufacturers from around the world, these great binoculars, with their enormous lenses, are sought after for their long-range and immense magnification.

Many use the ‘Big Eyes’ for astronomy for they are fantastic in low-light scenarios. Though not for casual use due to their sheer weight and size, they do find their way into many homes for this purpose.

In generations passed, the military used these to gain an advantage in the field of battle. Be it on sea to look for would-be intruders or on land used with flak cannons. There is a long history behind these giant-looking glasses and with history comes time. As we know, time means wear and tear. The adhesive within the optics deteriorate, prisms go out of alignment and there may be damage to the body.
